Reviews

Short and sweet. Many facts I did not know and I am well read about Van Gogh. What I liked: the many pictures reproduced right after the descriptions of them with the ability to enlarge; the straightforward narrative without a lot of excess verbiage; the chance to read a book quickly in a sitting or two; the new information sympathetically presented. What I did not like: lack of editing...bad grammar and spelling mistakes... I think it was written by someone who is not a native English speaker...; Gratuitous opinions by the author; Sometimes it seemed written like a high school paper; Sometimes difficult to tell which "he" author was talking about when two names were in the same paragraph. All in all, well worth reading and a nice addition to the body of work about Van Gogh.
